About Milton

We’re building the intelligence layer for the future of human health.

Healthcare is built around snapshots. We believe the future will be continuous.

Training. Nutrition. Sleep. Behavior. Body composition. Wearables. Labs. Medical history. Conversations.

The everyday decisions that happen between traditional healthcare visits.

Milton is building the intelligence layer that connects that story over time, and puts it in the hands of the professionals people already trust.

We’re starting with independent gyms and coaches.

Because prevention doesn’t start in a hospital. It starts in everyday life.

The team bringing it to life.

We’ve been building toward this from different sides of the problem for decades.

We lived the problem first. Now we’re building the system we wish existed.

Built with gyms, not around them.

Milton isn’t being developed in isolation. Two independent gyms have opened their businesses to us and allowed our team to learn directly from how they operate.

They show us where software gets in the way.

Where information gets lost.

Where members fall through the cracks.

And where AI can make the people running the business dramatically more capable.

We build with the people doing the work.

How we got here.

  1. Before ChatGPT

    The problem was already clear.

Health data was becoming more abundant, but the systems surrounding it remained fragmented. The professionals closest to behavior change rarely had the context or tools to make sense of the whole person.

  2. 2022

Generative AI changes what is possible.

When ChatGPT arrived, we began building.

Our original focus was healthcare, specifically metabolic disease and some of the largest drivers of preventable illness, including obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

    • Metabolic disease
    • Obesity
    • Diabetes
    • Cardiovascular disease

    The question was simple

Could AI help people make better decisions about their health every day?

  3. 2023 to 2025

    Years of R&D.

We tested Milton across healthcare, coaching and consumer health to understand how people would actually interact with an AI around their health.

The result was far more than a prototype

    Member messages
    157,000
    Meals logged and analyzed
    44,000

    107×more from members

    Members~157,000
    Coaches1,470
Members sent Milton roughly 157,000 messages while coaches sent only 1,470. Bars drawn to scale.

People weren’t just using AI as a tool. They were building a relationship with it.

  4. What we learned

    Then we learned something important.

If you want to change chronic disease, you can’t only intervene after someone becomes a patient.

    It happens in

    1. The workouts people complete
    2. The food they eat
    3. The sleep they get
    4. The habits they build
    5. The questions they ask
    6. The relationship they have with someone helping them stay accountable
    7. After someone becomes a patient

    Prevention happens in fitness.

  5. 2026

Independent gyms become the starting point.

Gyms already have something incredibly valuable:

    • An engaged member.
    • A trusted professional.
    • A recurring relationship.
    • A working business model.
    • And continuous behavioral data.

    So we narrowed the focus.

Milton became an AI-native operating system for independent gyms, bringing the member experience, coaching, business operations and health intelligence into one system.

    • Member experience
    • Coaching
    • Business operations
    • Health intelligence
    • One system

But the mission never got smaller. We simply found where to start.

The gym is the starting point.

Milton today helps gyms and coaches run their businesses and better understand the people they serve.

What we’re building underneath it goes much further.

Over time, training, nutrition and behavior can connect with sleep, recovery, body composition, wearables, labs, metabolic data and medical history, creating a continuous health story around the individual.

Healthcare sees snapshots. Milton is building the movie.
